Rewind 5 years ago, this was a great company. I enjoyed it a lot and loved my accounts and managers, customers, etc who I worked with every day. I looked forward to each day and invited new challenges and hurdles every week. Fast forward to now. The company was bought out, routes were dissolved or delegated, new systems were put into place -- Just an entire overhaul of the company. I work anywhere from 60-75 hours a week (I don't even clock in for every single work task I do (writing emails, safety training videos every month, safety driving videos, etc) as they've started cracking down on OT and I'd just rather lay low on the radar), I stay in hotels 2-3 nights a week and I'm just completely miserable. I have a 2 year old daughter, a wife and a life outside of work but they just don't care. They started cracking down on OT and wanting us to stay in hotels more often instead of driving home to keep wear and tear off of the company vehicles. I've been applying for new opportunities but I've had absolutely no luck.
Is there any hope for me to regain the passion or love for your job after you're just completely burnt out and ran into the ground? Has anyone else went through something similar? What did you do?
