Hey. Looking for some sound advice.
I'm relocating temporarily out of state and have been looking for housing. The role does offer a relocation package, but because the town is so small (and I can't find furnished, sublease or short term) I'm looking to commute from a nearby city. Think 50 minutes. The rent is reasonable. Less than 1000
I could rent in the town hotel, but sacrifice a kitchen and pay over 1500, not including food expenditures.
Also, renting a car for several months is very expensive for a college student. About 2.7k.
With the contract unclosed, would it be reasonable to ask for a higher pay rate?
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but would appreciate any help. Thanks
