how to make interview go smoothly

Okay, so after a few tough days I applied on a whim to a similar, better paid but temporary position at a larger company. I’ve been selected for interview- which I’m going to go forward with but I’m just not sure if a temporary contract really suits me. I don’t want to have a bad interview, or necessarily be rejected, and I know I’d really like to work for the company in future, maybe not a temporary position though. Any tips or direction on how to best present in this interview ?
