As many of you are experiencing, the job market is crazy right now. I truly feel like employers are getting more and more greedy but wanting to offer less and less. Anyway, went through 6 interviews and a project for a company (which I got glowing reviews on). All that happened in 2 weeks, then they disappeared and wouldn’t respond for 2.5 weeks. Finally got a response yesterday (they called me actually) that they were “not moving forward”. I was on another interview, so she left me that voicemail and said if I wanted feedback she could provide it. I’ve called back twice now and left a voicemail, no response.
I get this is the market, but damn, why do these companies have to make these processes so cumbersome and annoying? I hired people at my last job and it was not like this at all. We were really straightforward about the process and got back to people quickly.
I’m rambling, but wanted to vent because this was annoying.
