All that is out here are $15-$16/hr jobs

The job ads are bogus.

$15-$16/hour temp jobs.

I called one company and the young man (20 yrs younger) started out at the bottom as a processor and in 3 years is a Manager over 30 people.

I was so overqualified for the job, we both didn't know what to say. He probably felt like he was talking to his mother.

And I'm not married and have no children but people my age have adult children in their teens - early 20s.

There arent any jobs for people my age, over 48, Masters. Bachelors in Finance

Was pushed out during Covid.

There is nothing.

Even the temp jobs are low level office jobs, billing, data entry.

The people my age run companies and are Directors and CEOs and the 30 somethings are in management.

"Get your foot in the door" $15/hour and live where???

I can't pay my bills and buy and use health, dental and vision on $35,000 or less.

The culture of these Co's are RECENT college grads. They dont want coworkers who are their parents age.

I'm far from retirement age.

But I need a LIVING wage.

The jobs arent there. The ones that pay the wage I need are filled internally or by someone they know.

If the job doesnt pay housing, car and healthcare, (the $15-$16/hr ones), how can I or anyone work with inadequate income?
