So this is out of the left-field but I run a YouTube Channel and I was recently contacted by a company called Game Dust well their Marketing Director. I looked up the company website and the company looks to be based in Poland and looks legit Game Dust Website. However, how do I determine if this company is legit? I looked up the person trying to contact me and I found their profile on LinkedIn both by searching Google and by going through the main site. However, again I am slightly apprehensive about actually contacting him back right away till I get more info. Is there any way I can do it or is this just going to be a crapshoot? I hear all the time about scams that happen with YouTubers and them losing their profiles and such. So that is why I am trying to be cautious about this. However, I don't want to keep the guy waiting either.
The last thing is he asking me for help with VR Experiences and also to demo his game. They are basically going to pay me in traffic to my YouTube Channel and game keys, however, I would like cash compensation as well. Not saying their offer isn't nice but they are basically asking me for consultation on how to do something and to play their games. I might be overstepping my grounds here since I am still a smallish YouTube channel on the cash compensation thing, so should I even ask for cash compensation or just leave it till a later date if they ask me for extra help? (Would add Compensation Flair but can only do 1 flair at a time.)
