This is a bit long but i have been losing sleep over this.
Long story short this guy filed a tro against me after I rejected him. I recently found out when he sent an apology letter on Facebook saying he's sorry. The DV-TRO was dismissed in March 2020 (he didnt show up) according to documentation my friends pulled for me. He had claimed that we were in a relationship and that he dumped me and I was stalking him.
Im so worried that this will come out in background checks
I'm from Asia and these jobs are based in other Asian countries but the companies have offices in the US.
Even though I'm not a US citizen (I'm Malaysian), 2 years prior this TRO I spent less than a year in a different state via a student visa to take a certificate course and I lived there for about 9 months only, will they even require a US background check?
So im not sure if they will do a US background check since I was only studying for less than a year.
Will they even be able to run an accurate on since I don't have an SSN?
