Salary paychecks

I recently landed what can only be described as a dream job. I’m making the move up from an analyst position into the executive world and have some questions on paychecks/pay periods.

I have always been paid hourly and will now be on salary. Normally it takes like 3 weeks to get a paycheck, but how does it work with salary? In my offer letter it says salary will be paid semi monthly (which I’m assuming is 1st/15th). Will my first check be a full pay check or just for the days worked? For reference I start Feb 8.
