3 weeks after job interview

3 weeks after final round of a job interview and the original job listing is gone from the job board and company career page. Is it safe to assume I didn’t get the job and my only choice is to wait for a rejection email? I was told a decision would be made by the middle of the month but since I haven’t got an offer, it doesn’t look promising.
