I get a message at least once a week (sometimes more) to offer me a job or to gauge my interest. Most of the time, these are low-level/minimum wage/part-time jobs, which I wouldn't have any problem working, except most of them are super far away (20+ mile one-way commute); I've had jobs up to 40 miles away reach out. 20 miles each way is $80/week in gas for me right there. If I'm only going to be making $300 a week from this part-time job, it's not worth it for me to be tossing almost $100/week in gas into my car. Do employers really think people are going to accept these jobs?!
