Basically the title. Have applied to over 1000 openings, have made it to the final round with lots of jobs, but it's always a no. When I get any explanation at all, it's always "we want someone with more ________ experience". Generally there's no feedback at all, or only good feedback.
I am 12 years into my career with 5-10 years relevant experience depending on which role I'm applying for. They're all low 6-figure jobs because I'm in the bay area.
I've talked to TWO interview coaches to make sure my interviewing style is OK, I've had my resume reviewed to shreds (you say) and obviously I'm not a total zero in interviews, since I'm getting past recruiter and hiring manager calls with a pretty high success rate.
The obvious explanation is just that it's a competitive market, and there really are people with better resumes applying for all the same jobs I am. However, it's hard not to think I'm doing something wrong, so does anyone have ideas on what that might be?
