Hello,
I applied for a position. The interview I would have had would be in French, and I agreed to a day and time, telling her I would give it a try even though my French isn't good. Before the interview, I ended up sending an email, saying because of the fact that I can't speak in French, I would have to retract my application.
She was totally understanding about it, and she offered for me to apply to the same position in the company but outside of the city (it is a job in English, and can work remotely). I accepted, and she sent me the link to the job post.
I'm using the same resume as I have for the position I originally applied to. My question is, in my cover letter, do I add a line or two saying "I originally applied to the position in so-and-so city, and NAME-OF-PERSON-I-TALKED-WITH ended up directing me to this job posting."? Should I instead keep this but don't name her directly?
I thank everyone in advance!
