Need help asking my recruiter if I can somehow get an interview for another job posting. Will he be able to?

So I dont know how HR, or recruiting works. I was laid off by my last company, and now they are rehiring and the recruiter called me and talked about a position, and asked if I would be interested. I hesitantly said yes, I loved the company but this position has crazy work hours. So I have an interview for that on Tuesday.

I looked online to see what other jobs they had and they had another position I'm really interested in and it seems like my experience could match up with them as well. Could I email my recruiter and ask if I can be interviewed for that position as well? Maybe that position has a different recruiter? Would it hurt to ask him at all?

I did ask him if this first interview for the first position didnt work out what would happen, would that be the end all be all? He said no, he would try to look for other positions for me. I have drafted up an email to send him Monday morning. I don't know how this could hurt me, it doesn't sound like it will.

Plus I'm on unemployment, I cannot turn down the first interview, I still have to go.
