2 Month New Hire Checkin - Job’s a bad fit

Hi all,

I started a new role at a relatively large company back in Early November. Tomorrow I’m having a prescheduled ‘2 Month check-in’ with HR. The thing is, I’m not happy with the role. I love my team and manager, but the function of the job was not what I expected. It’s a similar title to my last company but the day-to-day is wildly different. Pretty much not what I expected at all.

Anyway. How honest should I be? This company has a relatively strict ‘no internal moves for 1 year’ rule, so I’m already casually looking for a new role, but I wonder if I’m honest I could make an impactful change? Or would I just be hurting myself?

Any advice would be great.
