They cut our hours for “Buisness demand.”

My job had just sent a schedule, that was stable enough for everyone on the schedule , maybe the next the manager says the schedule is changed due to “business demand.” And says we can talk them about it, if we have complaints. I look and everyone’s hours were cut and some people were even off for about a whole week. I’m very confused. Can they cut someone from working a wholee week, due to so called “business demands.” I swear these days companies don’t care about the people you work hard, no promotion or even a thank you, but they have the audacity to ask u to come in odd hours. Crazy. At this point I just want to finish school and become my own CEO.
