Job references

Hi there! I am a 22 college student who will be graduating next spring. As I was filling out an employment application I realized I don’t have any good job references. Should I ask my past professors that I had a good relationship with if they would be willing to let me use them for a reference? I’m not sure what to do in this area. Thanks!
