The last time I worked was 2011, working for a local place's Halloween event. After that, my mental health took a nosedive, then I spent 4 years taking care of elderly relatives (one of them I was paid $25 a week, the others I was paid with my home, food, and luxuries of life, never money). These relatives have all passed, my mental health is doing much better, and I've been applying for jobs. I can't help but think the big gap in my work history is a deterrent for a recruiter.
