is there an official job ranking or hierarchy ? (example: retail, blue collar, salaried office job etc)
with the news and government always reporting unemployment, jobs lost, new jobs created etc, i think its important to always announce the "quality" of jobs have been lost and created. a big increase of retail jobs is pretty disappointing. so is high paying office jobs being lost. a big increase of high paying salaried work would be a wonderful news.
if i had to make a hierarchy, it would look like:
-low paying gig
-retail
-full time manual labor/blue collar
-salaried white collar/office
-high paying management
-high paying ownership position
we seriously need an increase of good salaried jobs. i hate how news always makes it sound like a giant deal when crappy retail jobs are on the rise and the good jobs are being lost. governments need to do their jobs.
also its just hilarious when the news talk about gig work as some kind of new era of opportunity, what a joke!
is there an official one? if not there should be. how does your personal ranking look like?
