Is it too late to reach out to alumni if I already interviewed for a job?

I found someone who works at a place I applied to for an internship from my school and connected with her on LinkedIn. I already had an interview for the position and decisions will be made in about 2 weeks. Is it too late to reach out to her? I want to hear about her experience working there and learn more about it, but I don’t know if that’s weird since I already had my interview. If the conversation goes well, I also hope that she can give input to the hiring manager, but I don’t know if it’s too late since I’ve already had my interview and the decisions come out in 2 weeks. Is reaching out worth it? How do I compose the email without being weird? I’ve never tried reaching out to an alumni before so I don’t know how
