As of today (12/8) the Trump admin proposed a $600 stimulus payout but no UI extension or additional UI relief. This means that the millions of people set to lose the UI benefits on 12/26 and the millions of people who will lose their holiday seasonal jobs will occur roughly at the same time.
I think it’s smart for people to double up on their search effort to avoid this potential future shit show
So then the questions arise like:
How do you find a temporary job outside of your career? Any job that pay a living wage requires higher education and experience. How can you beat people who already have the experience? How do you convince employers you won’t jump ship, when you know damn well that you will?
Worst case scenario you grab a job at McDonald’s. But even then It’s so fucked that college educated people have to resort to jobs suited for teens people who need a second chance in life or whoever else needs that jobs more than you.
