Does anyone have experience taking a job from a company with less than stellar reviews?

I’m going to interview with a company that was recently acquired by a bigger Fortune 500 company, but the reviews are a 2.8/5 with most complaints about management. I’m leaving a really good company with excellent benefits because it’s hard to climb the ladder and my boss is very problematic. I’m just worried that I’m am making the wrong move.
