Amazon Application Clarification

Hi everyone,

I’m applying for an Amazon job position and I need some expert help here.

One of the questions is:

“Are you subject to a non-competition agreement or other agreement which would preclude or restrict your employment at Amazon or any Amazon subsidiary or affiliate?”

I’m not sure I understand this question. What is it really asking?

If (1) I currently hold a non-competition agreement with my current employer that will preclude me to work properly at Amazon

OR

if (2) I’d agree to sign a non-competition agreement if I’m hired to work at Amazon?

If (1) I’d answer NO.

If (2) I’d Answer YES.

Can someone clarity that for me?
