Advice for Temp Scientist position at Natl'Lab

Hi All,

In this particular situation 2yr temp scientist position under the national lab's name with benefits similar to a full time job. Out of curiosity, has anyone been in this situation? Did it pay off afterwards in either private sector academia or gov? There was mention of temp to full-time transition on both their end and my conversations with my research advisor. But still temporary however I feel skills like that would look phenomenal if I took that experience alongside a graduate degree to the private sector afterwards.
