Started new job remotely...received no training and everyone is too busy to help.

New grad that could use some advice here. I just recently transitioned into my first post-grad job after graduating college this past May. I’m working as a business analytics consultant and due to COVID, I’ve been force to onboard and start remotely.

I’m having a very difficult time settling in and it’s made me wonder if I’ve made a mistake choosing this job. I was immediately introduced to the client and have been assigned several tasks with strict deadlines. I have a supervisor who is nice, however, he is completely unavailable for training and is rather vague due to a language barrier. He’s also warned me several times about not giving the client any ideas about how clueless I am. This issue is starting to boil over because I simply don’t have enough knowledge to finish my tasks. I need guidance and direction but my immediate superior takes hours (or sometimes days) to respond to a simple inquiry. Now the deadlines are upon me and I will look bad in front of the client for not having my tasks completed. I’m losing my mind.

Is this a red flag? Should I be getting a Plan B together? Any advice on how to navigate this would be greatly appreciated.
