Most people I spoke to for job search advice said to look within my own network, which is generally sound advice. It got me thinking though, for an entry level person, how awkward would it be to work for someone you know or someone your friend knows? I'm terrified of the idea of embarrassing myself (or my friend) if I'm bad at my job or doesn't reach the expectation of the employer. Want to hear about others' experience in this (either as the friend that referred the job or as the person applying for the job). Thanks!
