LinkedIn Connection Asked to FaceTime

I recently connected with someone on LinkedIn after asking about a job opportunity. They responded by asking if I wanted to FaceTime them. I responded saying that I wasn’t comfortable FaceTiming someone I don’t know, to which they responded by asking how can they trust me to do a good job if I can’t handle “a simple FaceTime call.”

Is this normal? Should I have not responded that way? Or should I block them and steer clear?
