IT to Electrician?

Graduated in IT and have not really enjoyed it. Big frustration has been corporate office work. I hate being behind a dela all day. I feel trapped. I like troubleshooting, but I want away from the desk!

I've looked at a lot of different ideas of what I could do if I wanted to do something different. Electrician seems like a great career.

What I want. Be on my feet, interact with people, use my hands, troubleshoot. And get paid a living wage.

How hard would it be to transition to this from IT? Do I need a degree or can I get an apprentice?

I am not afraid of labor, but I've don't drywall and that was hard work and not something I'd want to do for too long. Something that would tear my body down over the years...

Any advice on this?
