Being A Freelance Artist Drives Me Crazy.

I've been a freelance artist for 6 months now. And I'm tired of it. Since I just graduated on May this year I did not have a reputation, so I decided to use one of those platforms ... and it is CRAZY.

People expect you to do 30 pages of manga/comic with $15 total, or some of them are just rude. There was this one client ask me to change the character's eye color after the entire book was done, and the content is over 100 pages. I've been sending her draft and finished illustration by chapters, but she never paid attention until all of them are done. Another clients asked me to do 10 more revisions, 5 of them was because they are not satisfied with the character's eyelash length, and was asking for more revision.

I'm constantly worrying about if I would get enough money to pay rent the next month, and spend way more time applying to jobs than I actually do them. Most of the jobs I applied to never get back to me, or update the status, like they just randomly come up with an idea, make a post about recruiting freelancers, then forget about it the next day.

Has anyone here ever been a freelance graphic designer/illustrator? I'm breaking down, and I really need some advise about how to look for more clients, and make more money.
