A few months ago a my former manager told me about this security job that pay a little better then what I’m used to. Yes it’s longer hours then I’m used too and it much closer to home. I got a TWIC and everything for this company. I figured, why not! However I wish I have took the time to read reviews on this company. Or realize that I put myself in a pickle! Then I learn that during my 3rd day of training that I have to pass a test or else I don’t have the job. The man that interviewed never mentioned this, at all. Part of the test I have to memorize all this information from a paper they have given me. Plus this much difficult work then the last one. I’m irritated that I didn’t give myself a two week break from my old job just to get a feel of this one. At least I would have a back up plan. The only reason I apply is because I need clearance for a government job. I want to work in a office setting. I have applied to many jobs in the pasted and most of them say that I need some clearance to even be looked at. I feel like I’m putting myself in something that I might regret later. Then I need to figure out what’s kind of job I can apply for if I don’t past this test. I can’t go back to retails, I spent my whole adult life in that field and I want to get out that vibe. I wasn’t getting anywhere.
