Behavioral interviews

Am I the only one who hates behavioral interviews? I have had a pretty successful past 5 years (going from a contractor to a supervisor in this time) in the customer care field. I have a solid resume and plenty of experience as well as a 4 year degree, but when it comes to behavioral interviews (especially pre recorded ones) I feel like everything goes out the window. Had about 30 seconds to come up with answers on the spot. I know advice really can’t be given about this but any tips will help. Feel like I’ve blown a few job opportunities because of these. How much are these weighed when it comes to selecting a candidate?
