Hey all, so I've been in the hair industry for 4 years, spent 3 of these years in a salon I loved. Recently relocated to a bigger city, got a new job right away. But there are a lot of red flags showing up after a few weeks, I was promised all new clients would go to me and one other girl, but I find that doesn't happen too often. Pay is almost 2/3 less than what I was making, im not allowed to take on large projects which has been difficult because i love colour and it makes a lot more money than just some haircuts, and the worst part; I was never asked for my SIN and my paystubs look non legitimate and like I'm not being taxed properly. It's dead so much of the time, I know this is covid but this is eerily slow for the location it's in. I may have a better opportunity coming up, if it works out well how should I go about quitting after only a month? Do I still require to give notice despite these circumstances? I've never quit so early on, but I feel so unsettled!
