So I'm debating whether or not to lie on my resume. I was furloughed back in March and have been rejected by literally over 40 minimum wage jobs. Everything from Wendy's to dishwasher to warehouse work. I don't have direct experience for any of these positions but I'm a furloughed Airline Pilot with a bachelor's in computer science. Because of this, a couple of companies have said that I am overqualified, so I think the only thing I can do is lie on my resume and say that I was never an Airline Pilot and that I have no degree. But is this legal? And how would I explain the large gap where I "wasn't working"?
