Anybody have any experience working as a contact tracer? Info appreciated.

Posting on behalf of my cousin.

He recently been given an offer as a contact tracer calling people for symptoms and other related questions. The interview and offer were given same day he applied so he’s skeptical about it. We did research and the people/positions/organizations look legit. He currently has a $9/hour paying job so he wouldn’t mind working from home for $25 an hour. He understands it’s a contract position, but he was planning on quitting by end of year to start school next semester anyways. Any input on the position itself and training and other stuff would be appreciated.
