I’m stuck between three pretty mediocre job options. Well, sort of. Currently I am a manager in a retail environment that isn’t really that bad. I don’t mind the work so much as my new manager. I have gotten off to a rough start with him due to my refusal to travel to a meeting (mandatory) that I feel is not a necessary one. I mean, it could all be done over zoom and keep us safer from the corona virus. This job pays ok but I have a lot of overtime and non existent benefits. No sick time no vacation nothing. I have lined up an inside sales job with a major telecommunications company that would pay better and have fantastic bennys but it’s a call center environment and I know when the pandemic started they refused to allow anyone to work from home. I am supposed to start this job on Friday and I haven’t given any notice to my current employer as of yet since I’m still on the fence about it. The third option is for an admin assistant position with a financial services company. Small local business super close to home. I had my third interview there today. They said they still have a few people to speak with and they will try to let me know as soon as possible. The pay would be decent for an hourly position but again minimal health benefits from what I can gather. Does anyone have any advice or guidance for me? I’m not sure which direction to go. I don’t mind the position I’m in now but it still leaves a lot to be desired. The inside sales gig may be bad for my mental health long term but I could rack up some solid change in the interim. The admin would be a respectable job but not sure if I’ve gotten it yet or not.
