I hope I didn’t just make the biggest mistake of my life...

I just quit my job of a year. I was miserable, to the point where it was affecting my health and I would think “I wish I was dead” every day I had to go in. I thought I would be elated since I only have two weeks left now, but all I feel is fear and uncertainty. Does anyone have any success stories about leaving a job you hated without a backup?
