How to use the bus?

I’m 16 and I applied for a job today, but the problem is I don’t have good transportation. My mom is saying I can only work on weekends Friday and Saturday( Sunday the store is closed), in the meantime everyone else my age there is working on weekdays. I just need to know how to use the bus so I don’t have to worry about all that stuff and I can work on weekdays. I looked up the bus routes/schedule, but that looks confusing as hell.
