Excessive hours without compensation? Canada labor standards?

I have to ask this - what are my rights as an employee when working over 20 hour days for weeks on end?

I am a senior financial executive and my wage is not in the realm of what other CFO's make (sub 150k). This is a billion dollar business and I run finances for Canada.

Due to staffing issues, I am forced to work these hours or our company fails. I've brought up my hours and wages multiple times and the corporate solution is to hire. The problem is, onboarding would be a six month process before I would notice a difference to my schedule.

That means, I am working these hours for at least six months - and then what? I've been promised changes, but nothing has been placed in writing and I've been burned before in previous roles.

I cannot keep working these hours, but I don't even have time to do legal research. I also don't want to end up on the street because of covid19 hits.

Anyone have advice? Canadian labor laws seem to exclude managers and professionals from over time compensation - which means, I really am working for free. Sadly, my staff have more realized income and that is discouraging when you consider all things equal.
