Advice dealing with older staff - graphic designer

Hi,

So I recently started a job as a Graphic Designer for a real estate firm, I’m the youngest one there and their first graphic designer, which has now become marketer, admin and copy-writing etc. When I signed my contract I started the job thinking I’d be there as a graphic designer, not the other roles. They also seem to think I can do jobs in 30 minutes and wanted a 20 page booklet finished in a day, which included a full layout design, copy-writing, contacting clients etc. it’s impossible to do it in that short of time.

Does anyone have advice with dealing with similar situations? They haven’t hired a designer before and I don’t think they understand it’s more than creating “pretty” work.
