Took an interview that I thought went really well at this company and waited patiently to hear back. Felt really confident that I nailed it and was going to land a job finally. I decided to follow up after not hearing back for any updates on the hiring decision and eventually got a call saying they went for another candidate and that I was a back-up.
Sometimes I wonder if I would be ghosted if I didn’t follow up because they said the person started not too long ago..
Really hurts tbh but people say to never invest so much emotion in to one application. Sigh
