Is it bad to not want to climb the corporate ladder?

I've never had the ambition throughout my life to over achieve. Throughout undergrad it just never sparked me to put the extra mile to get an A in a class.

Now as I'm about to start my career my plan is to just put solid work in. I'll be content with a 50K yearly salary, and I eventually want to cut my hours down to 25- 30 hours a week.

I have no aspirations to be a VP or get into those C suite jobs. I'd rather put that effort in my hobbies, traveling, and just enjoying life.
