Context : the highest two people in power are currently at each other's throats... Like literally trying to get the other one fired. not demoted... Fired.
I'm trying to get out of the place, I really don't care for all of this headache. It can burn to the ground for all I care just as long as my lovely coworkers and I are not inside. I'm already considered second class (along with everyone like me) because I'm not one of the foreign hires that are more expensive and harder to find or replace, so no, I don't have loyalty for them and I'm just looking after myself here. I'm pretty sure they won't hire anyone new to replace everybody that quit and I'm not picking up after them or taking on more work, I'm already putting up with subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) discrimination so I have no reason to want to help out during tough times
But yea anyway, if I hopefully end up finding another job and I'm able to leave and they ask why I'm quitting what do I say? I mean the obvious thing would be "because you guys are done + I don't want to get involved in your stupid politics or be forced to take sides or carry extra weight for no extra money or recognition" But I also don't want to completely burn bridges...
And if I say I just found a better opportunity, they might ask why was I looking or something like that So what do I say when I'm handing in my 2 week's notice?
PS: the people that quit were directly affected by the problems in management, I'm not (currently) so it's not as "obvious" why I would want to quit
