About 2 months into a new job, Boss and supervisor came into my office was told me to resign right then and there. Reason was given is that "I was not performing" and "this isn't a good fit."
No write ups. Nothing. Only thing that came to mind was about a week earlier, the boss had a talk with me that I should be working 70-80 hours per week the first 6 months, then 60-70 hours 6-12 months and 50-60 hours after a year. This was not told to me at the interview. This was no 6 figure job, but a $45,000/k job.
Afterwards, I sent them an email directing them to mail my unused paid vacation and then recap'ed what transpired at my termination/involuntarily resignation. I had applied for unemployment and I didn't want them to change the story for them to say that I voluntarily resigned. I sent the email via MailTrack to certify it was opened. (It was opened 13 times).
I took it to glassdoor and wrote EVERYTHING about the job that they don't tell you until AFTER you start. The 70-80 hours per week crap I was told, how you are required to work in the office one weekend per month, lunch is only 30 minutes, and how you are required to sign a paper saying if you leave or are fired before 2 years, you HAVE TO PAY BACK he yearly state license fees and all trainings they send you to, including hotels (comes out of last paycheck). Detailed how the vacation benefits were on paper because management creates your daily schedule for you and most people don't take all of the vacation. The few people who go on a week's vaca are still required to turn in their weekly assignments (2-3 days of work).
EVERYTHING I STATED was the truth.
2 weeks later, a 5 star glassdoor review popped up describing the job as "like doing a medical residency for low pay." 2 long paragraphs detailing how great it is to work there and "sure it's long hours." I'm sure it was them doing damage control.
Well, that was all 9 months ago. I happily moved on and got a new job. The only thing I heard was that another co-worker had quit right after I left and they were left understaffed for 2 months. That and my replacement had quit after 3 months.
Yesterday, I got notification from mailtrack saying that old email I sent right after I was fired was opened. Apparently, I am still on their minds...... The only thing I could think of is that this may have to do with the glassdoor review I posted.
I never expected a good reference so I don't care for that. And everything I stated on glassdoor was the truth. Are there any repercussions I should be concerned about?
