I’ve been wondering if I messed up by quitting my high-paying job, which was offering me a huge promotion and advancement to stay, during a global pandemic. Other aspect here: company is booming right now (it’s in cyber security and the stock price is going up continuously).
A year ago, I was badly bullied by multiple coworkers (mostly behind my back but definitely some to my face as well). Management/HR only made things worse. Not interested in pursuing a lawsuit.
I’ve never gotten over it. So now I left for a different job (it pays much less...but it is at Google, so I’m hoping there are some perks to it).
I just wonder if I made the wrong decision to leave. I’m also just mad at what happened and the fact that the people who made my life miserable will benefit from all the COVID-19 related growth but I will not and will instead be taking a pay cut to get out of the environment. Sigh...
