So I applied on indeed and got a phone interview the day after. The lady was estatic at my credidentials on the phone. So much so she set me up for that fabled second interview in person at their office. So 3 days later I go into the main building and I pass everything. And answer some general questions about covid and different stuff. And it goes well. The lady said she will give me a call back on when I can begin. This place hires 10+ at once so they can fill a classroom of people so we can all be trained at the same time. So as of now they still haven't filled the classroom and I'm still waiting on that phone call from them on when I can start. But the lady did assure me that I was gonna get hired once they get enough people to start the week paid training.
But the thing is it's been 3 weeks since I went to the second interview. I am jobless and making no income whatsoever while waiting on them to call me in. and I don't know what I should do. I am gonna be really really behind on bills if I don't get hired within at least the next week.
I can't just start applying to other jobs knowing that I will eventually get called by this employer because the place I went in for a second interview will be paying me enough to keep the bills paid. But eveyhwhere else I can apply is all minimum wage and I can't survive on $7.25 an hour. So what to do??? I am in a limbo
So to keep waiting on the call on when I can start my first day or just apply for a underpaid minimum wage job that if I get hired into could possibly ruin my chances of getting hired by the place I'm waiting on a call from??
