I just finally landed a job as a financial analyst. I applied to hundreds of places. I was throwing away my paper in which I wrote down the jobs I applied to, and so many of them I had written down as “need to hear back from HR” or “Recruiter emailed back but now they have to answer your response” or “awaiting status of application.”
I realized that I crossed none of these off because no HR representative, recruiter, or employer answered. Even when they answer once and they say they’re interested. There was a guy that was ‘so interested’ in my background and university and experience that he wanted to set up an interview. Well okay! I’m free next week at 11! He never answered and gave me the okay. I even emailed him back a second time and still no answer.
It’s just so unprofessional and rude. Let’s please atleast show some class and dignity if we’re gonna reject someone. Atleast infrom then so they don’t sit there with their notebook in hand waiting for your status.
