Graduated 2 years ago, worked a dead-end job for a year after, now unemployed. How to prepare myself to re-enter the working world with little-to-no experience?

Incoming sob story lol TW trauma. Any help/advice appreciated.

I graduated with my degree in English two years ago. During school, I worked as a surgical technician in a hospital. I was undecided with what I wanted to do during that time after graduating, so I kept working and attempted another post-graduation semester of Physician Assistant prereqs. After realizing I didn't really want to work in the medical field, I stopped taking prereqs and kept working my job at the hospital.

I quit my job last December, and have been spending the last 6 months recovering from trauma. In short--I have a ton of childhood trauma that caused Complex PTSD and it's made just surviving very difficult. I'm on my way to recovering and I'm lucky enough to be supported by my husband during this time but the anxiety around not working/not being employable is huge.

The only English-major related thing that I have done in the past two years is write a book. I'm almost done with my second draft, and I want to give publishing a shot but honestly I don't really believe it's a viable option and I want a realistic back up.

My main question is: what can I do now to gain skills that will help me get a job that an English Major could do? I am interested in editing, content writing, marketing, tech writing, basically anything. A year or so ago I tried to apply to writing jobs that involved medical writing, but I don't have enough skills for that.

Any advice?

(also, I don't regret my English degree. It was either that, or dying lol. I am proud of it for what it is, and I know I could've done a better job at making myself more marketable but I am happy to be alive)
