19 Never have had a job and about to go to college. Resume and Application questions. Tips appreciated and requested.

I will admit I used the excuse of "I'm focusing on school" as I was a bit lazy. My parents never encouraged me to have a job either saying as long if I'm in school they don't care if I'm working or not but they supported me whenever I did try to apply to jobs. I did get one interview but when I arrived at the establishment the place the recruiter didn't even show up to their shift. They legit forgot I had an interview that day and honestly it made me feel pretty bad so that's when I gave up. However, I want to start saving some money for med school so debt isn't the biggest burden(College is paid for with fathers' military benefits). I am looking for some guidance on how I should apply and if I get an interview go about it? Another question I have is if I don't get a call back do I call the establishment? I have a medical condition albeit not serious but inhibits my physical abilities a slight bit to where heavy lifting is difficult. Do I mention that on my resume? I only plan on applying to anywhere that I can get a job at(Considering the COVID situation) my first year of college before taking EMT classes during the summer if I'm able to work weekends only as an EMT. If the local companies don't have part-time I will just continue working part-time wherever I am able to. Any tips not related to any of my above questions is also greatly appreciated.

I apologize if this is a bit out of place as well. I just feel like I am really behind in life and I still need to get my drivers license as well and it's all just hitting me that I need to get my stuff together while I still can since education doesn't last forever because it just feels sad not having your license nor never having a job.
