It's been a year since I've worked a regular job - I've been applying and applying but can't seem to land interviews or find anything. Any advice is helpful thanks!

Hey guys. I'm looking for advice on what steps I should take. I graduated last year with a BSc in Biology. This past year, I've been constantly looking for a job and applying to entry level technician positions. I've applied to 100+ jobs and only had about 3 interviews and a whole lot of rejections. I think the problem is that I don't really have "real" experience in the lab. I've only had 1 lab position which was an internship. The rest of my experiences are mentoring and running campus clubs. I've been very demoralized and it seems like there isn't much I'm qualified for. Since the lockdown started I haven't done much job applying. Money hasn't been an issue since I've been living with my parents so I have no expenses. My main source of income is online poker. I can make around 25k/yr playing 20-40hrs a week but I do not want this as a career.

I have a huge gap in my resume since my last job was a job when I was in university. My grades are pretty bad.. around a 2.3gpa so doing a masters is out of the question. I'm mainly looking for a experience at this point and money isn't really a motivating factor. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on where to go from here or does anyone have any experience dealing with gaps in their resume.
