Carbonmade still free?

I keep seeing Carbonmade keep being listed as a free portfolio service but I can't seem to find a way to use the free version? It seems Carbonmade 4 is not free at all but I have a friend who still uses the older version of Carbonmade that still hosts their creative portfolio

Does anyone know how to use Carbonmade's free version or do they just not allow new account signups for it anymore?
