How to not get homesick while traveling

I’m working 2 hours away from home and am staying in a hotel, I’m fine throughout the day but when night comes and I’m just sitting in the hotel I really start to kinda miss home, I don’t know if it’s just because I’m not doing anything or what, but it gets a little rough. What are some suggestions for coping with this?

I’m not to a point of crying or depression, it’s not that bad lol

EDIT: I get to go home Saturday evening, have to come back either Sunday evening or Monday early morning
